Very solid gyro, hummus and pita. Order at counter and you can eat inside with cold beer on tap.

I would give this place a 5/5 on service alone! They were sooo nice! The prices were also not insane for a gyro and fries. (11 dollars, in this economy, Amazing.) However, it was good but not amazing. I definitely would go back. Okay so when you first walk in, it was surprising. Cause it was like a market. (The name actually matched the location. Very slay) I was surprised because like walking into a convinced store on one side and a small mom and pop shop on the other. So ambiance was definitely strange but nice. I would give this place a 4.5/5 out of star but that isn't an option. I recommend!

You guys never fail! I couldn't take the food out of the bag because it was still so hot! Thank you for being in Portland! Great job, and great food. I told my daughter (who does the online ordering) that I had the best hamburger I've ever had last week. She orders the chicken and mozzarella, but I've had the Reuben and burgers. It's also nice that you're a city block away! (I still order through Door Dash [shhhhh]) Keep up the good work!

I love this place. The location is odd hanging out there on a corner with a one-way entrance and exit, but as long as you don't hit them up during peak hours, parking is easy and appreciated. The people are all very friendly. They had my order ready when I placed it online and when I called it in. It's probably better for them if you call it in. The tzaziki isn't the best I've tasted. Needs more mint or more dill cuz I can't taste either. BUT as they advertise, it IS the best gyro in town. If there's better out there, DM me! I've been here twice with coworkers and twice on my own time. The last time, they gave me (weirdly) a double cheeseburger instead of a gyro and my BF confirmed he heard me say "gyro" over the phone so I'm not sure what happened there. It had no mayo, though, so I just went with it. Good burger! Prices are fair. About $12 average for a sandwich. Pretty good for 2024 imo. This is a solid, solid place very close to work and I'm so glad I found them!

This place is legit! Unexpectedly good food. Gyro was well seasoned, chicken pita sandwich was delicious. The day we came they were out of fries and substituted their house made potato salad. Delicious! Wish we'd found Samo's sooner. Will be back!

Super convenient neighborhood store and restaurant. My boyfriend and I were visiting a friend in the area and this was walking distance. We called in an order and walked over. Our order was ready when we got there. There were maybe 3 other customers there. We decided to sit there and eat. Great portion sizes we split the falafel sandwich and fries. Falafel was pretty good and standard. I don't understand the complaints other people wrote about. I'd definitely return. Half ot the shop is a liquor store, they sell lotto. There is also an ice cream counter.

This sandwich did not disappoint. Four meats! That's right, four different meats. All of my favorites, ham, Turkey, roast beef and pastrami. And, grilled to perfection with American and Swiss cheeses. Absolute sandwich heaven. The steak fries were just right too. I look forward to trying other menu items soon.

I have drove by this place so many times and never stopped in. It says they have the best Gyros and I should try those but what I did have was their fried Cauliflower!! Yummmmmm!! It came with pita bread and really delicious tahini sauce and a pickle! I seem to be gravitating towards cauliflower lately and with the sauce it was really good. I will come back to try other items next.

What a gem. The theme is Mediterranean, the buzz on the Kafta Kabab drew me in. Their version is very reminiscent of Persian Koobideh: the basmati rice is up to par, the grilled tomato and topping sauce are excellent. The chicken kabab was also good, but stick with the two beef varieties. The pita is just average. Another menu winner was some sort of regional soup with chicken, it had a umami taste, so good. The choices are vast, including an impressive dessert case. The owner is polite. It took 25 minutes for the kabab so I recommended calling ahead if that's what you want.
